Arua district Local government leads West Districts in luck of accountability

Arua district local government has not accounted for money in the tune of 65,551,222, Arua district is followed by Zombo town council that had 62,089,149, Zombo district also failed to give an account of 50,513,800,

According to the OAG report for the financial year 2014, nine districts of west Nile have an accounted for money totaling to 267,703,103.

Some of the district that did not report well are Moyo town council with 14,497,500 the town council spent of public moneys without payment vouchers while administrative advances were not  accounted for within a period of one month. Koboko district which had the least figure has 5,481,700 the district had administrative advances but failed to account for within one month.  Nebbi district local government had 16,405,900. The district also did not give proper accounts of how they had spent the money during the audit period.

Similarly Yumbe district local government did not have proper payment vouchers and the amount in question is 30,000,000, this is the graphical illustration of the money. most of the districts have questions around payment without vouchers and administrative advances that people don’t account for.
